Rough Weather in Northern California

The power is back on after being out for almost 48 hours. The first day was an adventure. After that it got a little cool in the house. 
On New Years Day, the Los Gatos High School Band was going to collect Christmas trees. Everyone in the neighbourhood had their trees on the curb by 8am, even though it was raining quite hard. By 10am the winds were gusting to 60 mph, and the trees were blowing down the street like tumbleweeds! I’m sorry I didn’t get a picture of it. The tree in the picture fell down at 11:30am, and we lost power just after noon. A number of other large trees came down near us, but our house has been spared. The play structure got clipped by a tree limb, but it’s nothing too serious.
