Race Day

I raced in the CCCX XC MTB Race #1 today down at Fort Ord. I had to borrow a bike because mine is in the shop getting new brakes (long story). Hunter, the owner of Crossroads Bikes in Los Gatos, let me use his Santa Cruz Blur LT Carbon. What a sweet bike. It rides like a dream and it’s several pounds lighter than my aluminum Blur LT.
It was a fun race, featuring varied single track and fire roads with some great bermed corners snaking downhill through the forest. I managed to come in 3rd place in my division. My friend Alex came along for moral support and took some pictures.
