The girls and I went for a hike in Castle Rock State Park today. Unfortunately it was raining pretty hard and we didn’t get the break in the weather I was hoping for. So our hike was pretty brief, and it was followed by an in-car picnic… which was fun, as always.

We invented a new word, “dinch,” which describes a meal eaten half way between lunch and dinner. We’re on our way to dinch at the California Cafe later today.
