Jackie’s Monkey Bar Adventure June 9th, 2010

During drop off at Katie and Amelia’s school this morning, Jackie decided to make a leap for the 3rd bar out from the edge. She caught it but couldn’t hang on, and fell down on her back and her wrist. One quick trip to the ER later, Jackie was sporting a brand new pink cast! She’s the first of our children to come home with a cast on, but Amelia is still leading in the category of total ER visits.

Sequoia Century 2010 June 6th, 2010

Just got back from my longest bike ride ever. Sixty seven odd miles, in the Sequoia Century 100k event. We rode from Palo Alto to the coast and back, climbing 6000 feet in the process and visiting redwood forests galore. The support (read: food) was fantastic, and I feel far better than I ought to after such a long ride.
